Two Big Nights of Classic Horror on the Giant Outdoor Screen! The ONLY Peter Cushing Centenary Event in the US! Overnight Camping Option Both Nights! VANDERGRIFT, PA — A weekend full of nostalgic retro thrills and chills, DRIVE-IN SUPER MONSTER-RAMA is two nights of classic horror and science fiction 35mm prints presented at an authentic drive-in movie theater. There will be two big shows on two consecutive nights which will start at dusk and go on until really late into the night! This is the seventh year in a row that we are hosting such an event, so we encourage all drive-in movie fanatics to travel from near and far, as you’re not going to find anything else like it, anywhere! This year’s weekend event will be presented as a Peter Cushing Centenary, celebrating the 100th birthday year of the iconic British genre star (1913-1994). All eight feature films have Cushing in a starring or supporting role. This is the ONLY major Cushing Centenary event happening in the US, so you won’t want to miss it! What could be better than a weekend getaway topped off with two nights of classic monster movies on the big outdoor screen? We realize that everything is so expensive these days, but admission is still only $10 a person each night! Plus, children 12 and under are free with parent or adult guardian. How can you beat that? The Riverside’s concession stand is loaded with reasonably priced goodies, including hot foods, hot and cold drinks, candy, popcorn and much more! What is being shown and when? On Friday, September 6, the features will be BRIDES OF DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED, FEAR IN THE NIGHT and FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. On Saturday, September 7, the features will be MADHOUSE, AT THE EARTH’S CORE, ASYLUM and SHOCK WAVES. Each night we will also present an array of vintage monster movies trailers, cartoons and short subjects in between the features which we know you will just love! The gates will open at 7 PM and the show will start at dusk and continue late into the night. Where is the theater? DRIVE-IN SUPER MONSTER-RAMA will be held at the Riverside Drive-In Theatre in Vandergrift, PA. For the dates of September 6 and 7, the theater will devote its screen exclusively to these special nights of vintage entertainment. The actual driving location of the theater reads as: Riverside Drive In Theatre, Route 66 N, Vandergrift, PA 15690. If you put that information as your destination on Mapquest, Google Maps, or your GPS, you can easily access directions from your starting location. The phone number of the theater is 724-568-1250 and their website is at www.riversidedrivein.com. Sponsored by DVD Drive-In (www.dvddrive-in.com). Overnight Camping: The Riverside Drive-In Theatre is offering the option of camping on its grounds on Friday and Saturday night. The price is $10.00 per person/per night. The price for camping is separate from the admission price. With this we offer breakfast and use of the restrooms all night long. Makeshift showers will also be available, so you are welcome to bring towels and washrags to wash in the restrooms. For more information, contact George Reis at reisgeorge@aol.com.

Midnight Syndicate's Universal Horror "Monsters of Legend" - July 19th

Dig it, boils & ghouls!!! Check out the press release from Midnight Syndicate regarding their new classic monster album!!!!!

6/20/13 (Cleveland, OH) - On July 19th, Midnight Syndicate will release it's sixteenth studio album, "Monsters of Legend." This "tribute to the golden age of horror" will feature sweeping symphonic horror instrumental music and sound effects in the signature style the band pioneered. "We want to make you feel like you are a character in one of those classic horror films - that you've entered a world where any one of the iconic ch...aracters from the Universal Horror Films and Hammer Films could be right around the corner," said composer Edward Douglas.

The CD artwork features original images from classic Universal Studios Entertainment horror movies including Bride of Frankenstein, Werewolf of London, and Dracula. "Listeners will hear the influence of the Universal Monster, Hammer, and Euro Horror films from the 30s through the 70s, not only in the music but in the images the songs conjure," added Gavin Goszka. Although the band promises the new disc will deliver the dark atmosphere haunted attractions, roleplaying gamers, and Halloween enthusiasts expect from them, they feel they've crafted a disc that transcends their favorite time of the year. "As we did on Carnival Arcane, we're always trying to take things up a notch both musically and with the sound design. There is a lot going on in this one. Plenty to pull you in, spark your imagination, and keep hold of you anytime you're looking to visit that mysterious place in your mind's eye."

The CD will be available for pre-order the first week in July. In addition to other new merchandise, Entity Productions Halloween Music will be releasing a special edition 12" vinyl version of the "Monsters of Legend" album, hand-numbered and limited to 250 copies.
