Monsterland Bar & Grill

Dig it!! For Monsterland, Friday the 13th was anything but unlucky. The horror-themed restaurant and nighttime hot spot had its grand opening last week, attracting nearly 1,400 people on Friday and Saturday. It was a strong opening, but the restaurant is still working on finding the silver bullet that will ensure success. Monsterland was originally a two-story haunted house that opened last October. After the Halloween season was over, owner Kevin Wynn conceived of starting a restaurant and nightclub as a way to use the property year-round. Part of the top floor was cleared for the tables and bar, but guests still need to pass a crumbling castle, graveyard and animated props such as a werewolf leering from atop a wall. The downstairs will remain a haunted house, and this October, patrons will be able to watch others being scared on monitors set up on the patio. Story in the link.

  1. I've actually thought of this idea in the past. Never was really sure if it would catch on though. Glad to hear that it seems to be a success!
