The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D (2012) update

Previously going under the title Leatherface 3D, this is yet another sequel/reimagining/relaunching/reimagining whatever of the franchise. The film is said to be a "direct sequel" to Hooper's 1974 classic in which our lead character, Heather, who along with her friends, travel to Texas in order to collect an inheritance.

The hook is that the inheritance comes with a cousin who goes by the name of Leatherface. Uhm ok then.....

The studio also has multiple sequels planned. It's casting now, and shooting will start in June in Shreveport, LA. Look for the release in Summer 2012

Because we need more sequel/remakes and more 3D.........But I'm completely on-board if they would like to hire me lol!

  1. How come every sequel to TCM has, basically, been a "direct sequel" that ignored the others? TCM3 ignored TCM2. TCM4 ingored the other two...as well as any semblance of logic. Sheesh!

  2. I'm hoping the movie picks up where '74 left off, reshot from Sally's jump out the window to LF walking back to the house with the chainsaw, then cut to black with "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". A scene like that with no score and good directing could be terrific. The plot sounds horrible so far, not much hope for this one.
