Del Toro – New Yorker interview

Here's a nice story and interview with del Toro about his films, including upcoming projects Frankenstein and At the Mountains of Madness.

  1. Absolutely amazing interview! I TRULY hope we one day see his versions of "At the Mountains of Madness" and "Frankenstein", as well as his take on "The Haunted Mansion". He's truly a visionary filmmaker, and we can only hope that Hollywood will have the sense to embrace his genius and let him make these films!

  3. Wow! I’ve seen and read many interviews with del Toro, but this New Yorker interview is the most in-depth yet!

I'm glad he left The Hobbit, because it allows him to pursue his own personal projects. I’m desperately hoping that his Frankenstein film gets made. The description of the sculpture for the monster sounds utterly fantastic!
