Stoker’s relative seeks Dublin memorial

Dacre Stoker, the great-great nephew of Irish-born author Bram Stoker, has started fundraising to build a memorial to his ancestor.

Bram Stoker was born in Dublin in 1847 and lived there until age 31. He attended Trinity College before working as a civil servant in Dublin Castle and as a newspaper writer.

Dublin City Council has granted the go-ahead for the proposed Stoker memorial. Once the cash has been raised, an artist will be selected to bring the monument to life.

Very cool news!

  1. You beat me to it JT. I spotted this bit of news last night. I hope Stoker gets the memorial for his illustrious relative.
