Of orchards, pumpkins and Autumn

We are fortunate enough to live very close to a wonderful working farm where every Sunday we get our fresh fruit and vegetables. We cut down our Christmas tree here every year, and also love walking around in the Spring and Summer to look at all of the animals, participate in various "pick your own" fruit events, and take in the various fairs held throughout the year.

But nothing tops Autumn there - that's when Pumpkinland opens! This annual event features tons of wonderful pumpkins, gourds, and the like, as well as hayrides to the Witch's House and terrific large scale props and decorations. And nothing beats fresh apple cider, or a great pie later that night.

These are from a few weekends ago....

... and after we enjoy our afternoon at the Food & Arts fair in town, we are planning on hitting the orchard for more Fall goodness.

  1. I'm jealous, there aren't many pumpkin farms here in South Carolina.
